I want to take a few minutes to say "hi" and "thank you" to all of the wonderful folks we met at Beadfest
Miami.
And we plan on doing it again next year so watch the site for details.
And I promise to get the
site more "shopper-friendly" so bear with me. Am off to D.C. for a few days but will work on getting my act together
for sure!
Take a look in the March-April issue of "Step by Step Beads", on page 19, you'll find
my bead, "Grecian Urn". It's number 28 on that page.
You'll also find work by my sister
foxes, Kathleen Robinson Young (p.18, #17) and Joy Cichewicz (p.21, #54).
Check it out!

Look for my beads at the Bead Bonanza - the Glass Act booth, Southfield Civic Center on Sunday, March 9. The show runs from
10 AM - 5 PM.
I'll be there too in the late after noon.

What is Lampwork?
Lampwork is an old term that dates back to the use of oil lamps and foot-powered bellows to make objects out of glass.
Today we use the term to describe handmade or handworked glass pieces created with a torch. Most lampworkers today use
oxygen-propane torches to create their works of art.
Each of my beads is fire-born and kiln annealed for strenght.

Time flies!
Husband and I are back from 2 much needed weeks in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I am giving myself 2 days to recover and
then it's time to hit the torch.
I will be taking part in Great Lakes Bead Workers Bead Bonanza with my guild, Glass Act on Sunday, March 9th from 10:00
AM to 5 PM, Southfield Civic Center, Southfield MI.
And then it's Miami, Florida from April 11th - the 13th with my foxie "Fire Foxes" friends.

Puerto Vallarta, MX

It's a little over cast in this picture but I still like it alot. The "bridge" is actually a pier from which the
fishing boats, tour boats as well as the water taxis leave from.

Joy, laughing while adding finishing touches to the Fire Foxes booth.
