May 11th The beginning of the project - seems so benign.	May 12th Pouring the footings - 48" I believe.	May 18 Our new cement lined mud hole...
May 24 We tried to warn him not to pull in...	May 24 But noooo, he wouldn't listen. Good thing we need another load of cement and that truck had a wench on the front.	May 24 18" deep - koi pond anyone?
June 6 Scissor trusses - good thing we own the lot next door...	June 6 It's starting to look like something...	June 10 We've got a second floor - almost.
June 10 The peak "peeks" over the exsisting front of the house	June 10 They got all 4 walls up in one day. I start to realize how big this thing is going to be.	June 10 View from the back garden.
June 13 We had the best group of carpenters. They were very neat, poloced the area at the end of each day and before they finished the job, they fixed us lunch. Rob is manning the grill.	June 14 Our yard looks like a parking lot, we have the carpenters, heating and cooling guys, plumber and electricians. Did I get everybody?	June 14 The head carpenter, Bob. Really great guy - knows his stuff. You can see my poor studio through the hole in the wall (which is still there, has that building wrap stuff over it. I'm glad the doors are on and have working locks.
June 14 Almost forgot a group - here come the tree guys!	I was headed out for Bead & Button. Did not want to see the 3 huge pines getting cut down...	But I ended up being there for the first one - I cried. But the house does look better with them down.
July 1 Sididng and gutters are up - awaiting final rough inspection.	July 1 From the south side - you can see the parking pad for the motor home. It can double as a covered patio.	July 1 Vangie by the garage door - note the blue bandage.
July 1 From the north side. Chuck has covered the deck with flowers. You can see the parking pad and side entrance to the garage.	Inside the garage, great closet under the steps with access to crawl space via a trap door. And the steps going up to my new space.	July 1 A view upstairs. You can't see the two sky-lights from here but you can see the ductless airconditioner and the 2" x 4"s that mark off where the bathroom will be. Will be using glass block...
The space has been primed and you can see where the shower is going to be. The floor pan is in place and for now, the wall are propped up.	This is the view going up the steps. I really like the lighting set into the walls, it throws lots of light onto the steps.	Hooray! The glass block for the bathroom is up!
