Electroplating is the process of using electricity and chemicals to cover an object with a thin layer of metal.

The difference between electroplating and electroforming is the thickness of the layer of metal that is applied. If it is heavy enough to stand on it's own it's considered electroforming.

Electroforming is the process I use to get the metal on my lampworked pieces.
